ABOUT THE TASK FORCE
Current Status: TCC Meeting 1, May 21, 2008 City and County Consideration of the Transportation Cooperation Council Inter-Local Agreement (Creation of the TCC) - Version I ILA City and County Consideration of the Transportation Cooperation Council Inter-Local Agreement (Creation of the TCC) - Version II ILA Presentation to County Commission Committee Meeting February 7, 2008 CONCEPT The task force was formed at the request of Johnson County Chairman Annabeth Surbaugh during the annual State of the County address on March 29, 2005, where she announced the creation of six task forces, or Future-Focused Forums: "...each commissioner will lead a task force that will study and report back recommendations and ideas to the County Commission on these areas of interest to our future... The second task force will focus on issues related to future transportation planning." FEEDBACK The Transportation Future Focus task force has taken a unique approach to its work by publishing its resource links and developing work product reports on this web page. If you would like to participate in the development of this product, but cannot attend the meetings please send your input by e-mail. MEMBERSHIP The Transportation Future Focused Forum membership has been developed through direct inquiry and self initiated selection by concerned citizens and stakeholders. A wide variety of stakeholders and affected audiences were identified and requested to participate in this initiative, including representatives from each of Johnson County's 20 cities, every chamber of commerce, and several organizations representing special populations with a vested interest in our county transportation's present and future condition. INITIAL FOCUS In advance of determining the membership of the Transit and Transportation Future-Focused Forum, the following framework was developed to focus our thinking on future strategies and outcomes in the areas of transit and transportation in Johnson County and the region:
