COFFEE CHAT:

Second District Johnson County Commissioner John Segale has scheduled the following "County Coffee Chats" for the Winter of 2007 with interested residents to discuss current and future affairs of Johnson County.

The public is invited to enjoy one of our community coffee houses with John while talking about community issues.

The County Coffee Chats are patterned after the Breakfast Chats that Segale conducted while serving as a Shawnee Councilmember representing Ward 1. From 1997 to 2004, he had more than 70 Chats so that he could listen and respond to his constituent's concerns.

"As a councilmember, I found the breakfast chat experience very rewarding and informative. The opportunity to informally meet with my constituents was a very valuable source of information and also helped me keep the perspective of the resident," Segale said. "With a larger and more diverse constituency, I need the input of my fellow citizens to help me serve their interests."

John invites his constituents and all residents of Johnson County to discuss community issues.
