2008 PBC SESSION SCHEDULE & MEETING INFORMATION

The Public Building Commission (PBC) was formed on May 17, 1990, to operate as a non-profit municipal corporation pursuant to K.S.A. 12-1757, et. seq. and in accordance with County Resolution No. 47-90.

The PBC was established to acquire sites for and construct, reconstruct, equip, and furnish revenue-producing buildings or facilities, including parking facilities, and to purchase or acquire those types of buildings or facilities. The PBC may issue revenue bonds to provide funding for building and remodeling projects and repay those bonds using the rent or lease payments received for the buildings or facilities.

Membership on the PBC consists of the members elected to the Johnson County Board of Commissioners. When a commissioner is sworn to office as a county commissioner, he or she automatically becomes a member of the PBC.

PBC meetings are scheduled two times a year during the months of February and August, unless a special meeting is called to discuss urgent issues. Below is a list of meeting dates.
